"I have been using the EMVP Arm Speed Weights for about 7 months now. I use them to train for snap velocity, efficiency, and hand-strike speed for blocking. Velocity is easy, just go snap with the weights on and improve your shoulder and arm strength in the snapping motion. I like to focus on removing any extra movement (pre snap hitch, picking the ball up before snapping, etc). "There’s no doubt in my mind that the Leg Speed Weights will benefit the kicking and punting motion of any novice, professional, or any level of athlete in between. Of course, a good work load of abdominal, eccentric, and plyometric exercises will benefit any athlete’s ability on the field, but that’s not where the value of the EMVP program stops. My personal favorite application of the Speed Weight system is to utilize the leg weights to punt. I use anywhere from half a pound to a pound of resistance, something I really won’t be able to feel as impeding on my technique. Thanks to EMVP’s Leg Speed Weights I have increased my vertical, agility, and lateral movements.
